5.0Vincent Family returns to England
On 21st September 1915, the Vincent family members boarded the “Persia” from Adelaide, yet again, bound for London.

The voyage was for two purposes. For Vera Buzzard to marry John Joseph Cuthill, which she did on 9th November 1915 at St. Georges Church, Bloomsbury, London, and to enlist William in the British Army.

Major Vincent was already in London at the time (departing Adelaide for London on the “Aeneas” on 5th January 1915). His signature appears as a witness, along with Emily Alice, on Vera’s marriage certificate. Emily Alice was now calling herself Alice Vincent.
